Subject: RE: Ag Leader ISO retrofit kit + Z2....display cable???

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I'm not certain why Ag Leader chose the name Steer Command Z2 for the steering controller that replaced their Steer Command (non Z2) The similarity in names has caused confusion.

According to the above chart SteerCommand Z2 is not supported with your Integra. The original Steer Command (non-Z2) is however.

I have Steer Command (non Z2) in one tractor, Steer Command Z2 in another another tractor that uses the tractor's CAN system and Ag Leader's Steady Steer assisted steering wheel turning motor in my combine. However, my displays are all InCommand 1200's which support all the various combinations.

It appears to me that you are out of luck attempting to use the Z2 with your Integra.

I would say your choices are: 1) trade the Integra for an InCommand or GO display, 2) trade the Steer Command Z2 backwards for a Steer Command (non-Z2).

You mention that your InCommand display cable does not seem to have an ISO branch. That is certainly possible. There are InCommand display cables that do have the ISO branch since I have two of them. My display cables should work with the ISO controller and the InCommand would work with the SteerCommand Z2 steering controller. The SteerCommand Z2 controller would be connected to the InCommand with a separte loose 4 pin ethernet cable. The stub sticking out of the InCommand display cable would not be connected to anything.

To add to your confusion the ISO branches on the display cables that have them are not necessarily the same. I learned this when I purchased a feeler steering system from the Headsight folks. The feeler system communicates through an ISO port to my Ag Leader display for initial setup and operation. The harness that came with the feeler system has two ISO plugs on it. One would be for working with an Integra, the other for working with my InCommand.

When I installed this in my combine I had been using an old Ag Leader display cable with an adapter for my InCommand. It had no ISO branch on it. This forced me to purchase a new display cable for the InCommand which did have the ISO branch. Once I got through that, the two steering systems worked fine.

Extremely confusing.
