Subject: RE: 2388 rotor loss

North Central OH
Not sure what rotor you started with but the afx book I have calls 8 straight bars the corn setup. Top figure in the pic, I ordered some more cheap straight bars from Abilene Machine to see if that changes anything. I put a set of estes concaves in ours hopping it would help, grain quality is better but still can't get rotor loss to zero, maybe a little better than the large wires, did not get their grate though a few straight bars are cheaper. Dealing with about the same loss as you, 0.5-1bu/ac out the rotor.
