You don't NEED a boundary for anything. You could have zero boundaries in the screen or in Op Center and it'll still yield map and show up in Op Center.
Things do work better if you have boundaries like sorting the data if the field names weren't right or switched properly in the screen. And your overall map is easy to navigate and click on fields. And display can detect fields so the user picks the right one. Those are all handy things but not needed |
