I've used basis contracts on corn at Bunge over the years. Bunge used to advance about 70 percent on the contract.  I called ADM last week asking about doing a basis contract on beans. Asked what percentage of the price they would advance and was told they don't advance against a basis contract. Does your elevator make cash advances against a basis contract?
