Deflation is bad, and very difficult for govts to counter act, this is true. 

It's the main reason they propped up the big banks in 08-09, they were terrified of deflation. 

It's why the covid money came around. 

A little deflation then might have prevented worse bubbles from popping up, though. 



They weren’t afraid of deflation— and yes, at times a little bit is good. They were afraid of a flat out depression. That’s why the money injected into the economy in Trump round 1 was likely a good thing. Trump round 2 was questionable. Biden’s shoveling money out was absolutely horrible and will likely cause a depression in the next 5-10 years.
