So you are saying price had nothing to do with planting 6 million less acres of soybeans yoy? Price had nothing to do with planting 8 million more acres of corn? Price wasn't influenced by policy that ultimately determined those acres? I call BS. Everyone keeps comparing prices to last year at this time which is completely flawed way of looking at things. The August wasde had old crop corn down to 1305 and yet we couldn't manage a rally all year? What would have happened to corn price had we not switched so many acres? Why didn't soybeans manage to rally at all this year with that drastic of a cut in acres? Because perceived demand had been greatly influenced by policy and so far that has found to be very accurate. Ridiculous so many are allowing their politics to stop them from seeing the obvious.
Did the price change because of acres, or did acres change because of price?
It would appear to me that price changed rapidly around the time of a government report the end of June 2024 and never recovered. Is the tail wagging the dog?
