I believe we should put at least a 100% tariff on imported food. A nation that can’t feed itself isn’t much of a nation.

If you look at all the restrictions Canada put on American products, it was all food.

They want to raise their own which makes sense.

Yea ,lets be a big exporting nation and tariff the other nations**************

List the tariffs Canadians have on food that is ever PAID... Trump talks Dairy , with the amount Canada allows tariff free the US has never paid a dairy tariff...

After Trump added so many tariffs Canada did tariff peanut butter, coffee,some alcohols as retalitoru measures...

Trump didn't like the President reagen speech ad and adds another 10% to tariffs...who operates like that?

Actually the Canadian dairy industry is an example of how tariffs can protect and build domestic industries. The high tariffs have made it unfeasible for outside sources to replace Canadian products. It is really nothing more than a mature version of a tariff system like Trump is starting.

I’m not saying it’s good or bad but it is what it is. Tariffs can be viewed as both good or bad and that will depend on a persons point of view.
