I went all grass-fed after years of selling at the farmers market told me that's what my customers want.
I experimented until I got there.
I'm not a purist. I do use a bucket or two of sweet feed every so often to train my herd to come to the corral when I bang on a 5 gallon bucket. They'll come out of the wood and gallop into the corral. But not a significant amount or part of their diet. Just a handling and gentling tool. They love windfall apples this time of year also. But again not regular nor significant.
If you've worked that hard at it I'd sure try your meat. Not saying it can't be done, I've just not had a good experience. |
