Driftless SW Wisconsin | I went all grass-fed after years of selling at the farmers market told me that's what my customers want.
I experimented until I got there.
I'm not a purist. I do use a bucket or two of sweet feed every so often to train my herd to come to the corral when I bang on a 5 gallon bucket. They'll come out of the wood and gallop into the corral. But not a significant amount or part of their diet. Just a handling and gentling tool. They love windfall apples this time of year also. But again not regular nor significant. | |
