| It didn't take long to find this data. About 2% of apples are imported and 98% grown in USA. Of the imported, Chile, New Zealand, Canada dominate. China is 2.1% of the 2% imported.
Maybe apples was a bad example.
Edit add: Maybe I misunderstood your point. Are you saying China is stealing export business that used to come from USA apple exports? This is a huge risk for the USA. Our policy of tariff the whole world runs the risk of the rest of the world forming free trade alliances that leave the USA out. We lose export markets.
