mercer county, il | Id say you’re correct Todd. “Here” early planted corn sucks. Later planted, late April/early may is great. I think the guys that rushed it are vocal, and the guys that waited for conditions to be right are silently enjoying it.
Good ground, even with tile is kinda dragging. And the rougher ground and clay hills are very good.
It’s kinda odd setting records on rough farms, while the good ground is a disappointment.
“Here” a 10-14 day difference in planting date made a 40-50 bu difference. | |
