Iowa
This is what makes things so difficult- corn isn’t just grown in the “Cornbelt” anymore. The fringe acres can do well enough that they bring the yield up nationally- however unfortunately for them they don’t have the corn use so their basis ends up killing them. Last year was a perfect example - NW Iowa had poor yields due to flooding, our feed mills and e plants pulled corn from the Dakotas where they had excess - I forget what the basis was, but it was a huge difference.
