I somewhat recall a posting with some of the ideas about interest that Lotts is saying.
But I think he’s taking it out of context. What Lotts is trying to portray as bragging was talking about the risk of now and how so far, paying a good sum of interest on borrowed money for cattle…..was working.
Vaguely recall the finding homes for cattle money, reference…..but that, I’m pretty sure, was made by someone other than a cattle producer….so again….taking out of context. I actually pushed back on that statement and said “ I don’t know about you but expenses have a way of finding any little extra money I think I might have”.
But it is Lotts story….he can make it what he wants it to be. ***
