Personally I would send the tractor to steel scrapping yard the second it came out of the water. I know it wasn't the tractors fault but knowing it's history I wouldn't ever want to see it again.

 I hear ya Merle and I think the same way. Unfortunately there is an estate to settle with a widow and children and grandchildren involved so, like most foks, every dollar counts. That is sort of why I am involved in asking these difficult questions so the immediate family does not have to ask them and deal with salvaging the tractor etc.
It is all just such a senseless waste and dealing with all the aftermath gets overwhelming at times.
