Be careful running in the dark on beans… they can make you look like a fool most evenings. You might have to approach it with “Hey it’s okay if you go home at dark but I might try to finish a load or two”. But in your dad’s defense there is always tomorrow, it pretty well always gets done, and no matter how much you do in a day it’s never enough. My dad has told me all these things and they don’t really put your mind at ease at first but the more years under your belt and the more you just understand and relax. Honestly if you’re struggling to get things done but don’t want to give up some acres you might need to upsize equipment. Might be a good time for that too.

Edit to add: the more hours you run in a day the less you spend on maintenance. It becomes easily neglected when pushing things. Keep this in mind.
