East of Broken Bow | Before you install the new gearbox, install a grease zerk on top to grease the upper bearings. If you locate it in the right spot, you can just get a grease gun coupler on and off the zerk under the shield.
I had a Fetrl, as did a couple neighbors, and we all had the upper bearings go bad due to being starved for oil. Any of us who have installed the zerk at the top bearings of the gearbox have had no problems since.
