Similar deals have definitely happened.
As mentioned, the one in Iowa.
Emotions on farmers run very high when it comes to renting/buying land.
There is no way to prepare yourself or defend yourself against this when someone loses it.
Altho one wd think you'd know if you're hated that badly. But still hard to prepare for it.
