Most skidder tires are bias because the stiffness is an advantage in the woods. Dole ran some skidder tires in pineapple on Oahu and they lasted a long time. They are hard to mount, but once on they will probably outlast the machine. They ride rougher and may cause more compaction.


I would agree with this, all logger tires might be bias. A bias has high concentration in center where radial spread load over footprint. I probably wouldn’t put them on late model combine.
