Next to the shop fridge | Looking at a truck with a red top N14 525hp in it. 600k on it. Drove it bobtail a few miles seemed to run well, no smoke to speak of. Smooth idle. Coolant is clean and clear.
I’m very familiar with 3406/C15 engines. What do I need to know about N14s? The truck is decently priced and spec’s well for our use. MI specs and 4.10 rears.
We run 90k out of the field which isn’t anything special but we run doubles at 154k when hauling out of the bins, and it needs to be reliable.
I have gathered that it can’t really be turned up higher than where it’s at which is fine, just wondering what to look out for on these. | |
