yes 200k is too high but when you are drilling on june 25 or july 1st, you have one chance to get a stand, if you get a bad rain or a crust and you emerge 50k you are screwed. I have drilled 200k or more on June 25th. We now plant 161k in 15 inch rows, that is as low as the planter goes without putting the half rate sprocket on.
What would you do? Planter & Combine ???
