I know of an area 4020 diesel that spent a winter under water after falling through ice. It shut down before injesting any uncompressable water, so did not have any bent rods. As with most tractors, the air intake stack was the last thing to go under water.
It did not stir up much mud as it settled to the bottom, so what water got inside things was relativly clean.
They did about what John SD said to get it cleaned / dried out. The tractor is still in constant use 20 years later.
I agree with letting it alone until the ice is gone, dragging it through ice will do far more damage than a few more weeks under water.
