Yes, do not buy the over priced 6V, make or buy new eye cables and go with gp31 stud type truck batteries- they are the Best Buy


Thats a fact they are , im going to try the 7140 with 1 next time .

5088 has had one group 31 for years .

It does not get cold here though , or if it does its very seldom .


+2. Group 31 stud type, and don't look back. Best thing ever.

In North Dakota I'd vote for two batteries.

Our local Battery Warehouse sells Deka brand batteries. They usually have "Blems" (These are a normal battery with a small blemish in the case) A Group 31 stud type is $70 for a "Blem"

Can't go wrong with a $70 Group 31 Deka Blem battery. We use them anywhere it's at all feasible to do so.
