Holly Hill, SC | I put a JD 694 on a Case 5088 with some cutting and fabricating. Almost zero money in parts, but some scratching head design work and fabrication. You have to cut some if the opening in the header, fabricate corner bumpers, make a wedge block, cut and fabricate latch mechanism. Yoke may need changing. If you buy the kit from Bish, they want to run your header offset to the left a few inches to avoid cutting into the vertical tube for your latch. I centered mine by cutting and reinforcing the tube. Can get pictures if interested. Very happy with my setup. Was not concerned with devaluing the head by cutting it. It is close to 39 years old (bought it new) and is better than my newer 606C. It has earned its spot on the farm and may be here for a few more decades. | |
