I too have abused my hearing. I’ve blown shelled corn into a silo at an early age. I’ve owned and ran a small but loud tractor puller with straight pipes. Farmed my whole life without hearing protection. I’ve woodworked as a hobby for years without ear protection using noisy planers, routers and saws. I think I am in the 1 or 2 percent that tinnitus affects my quality of life.
