If you don't weld very often, why spend a bunch of coin on those expensive brands? Take a look at what this company has to offer...

They are running Black Friday deals that make an already low cost welder even less expensive. I recently bought a plasma cutter from them and I am thrilled with it. You can tell it is Chineseium, but I probably won't use it often enough to ever break it. I watched a lot of review videos before I made the purchase and almost all of them were positive. Another option would be the Harbor Freight Titanium welders that also have good reputations among the farm/hobbyist users. You can replace several of these low cost units for the cost of just one name brand if it does crap out on you.
