NEMO | This continues to be an interesting conversation. We have some state of Louisiana deer hunters here, and they helped us move a big set of pairs across a road. The cows are all easy, but calves get hung up sometimes, so man power is great. After they watched all the cattle go across the road and the gate was shut, they commented on how calm and easy handling they were. They said cattle at home had a heavy Brahman influence and saw lots of gators and not many people, and didn't act like that. Many Western cattle the breeders seem to want more protective moms, and if they need that it's fine. The Cajuns understood that here in the midwest farming country, cattle can and do get out with patchy pastures and landlords that want high rents but won't build fence. Cattle that get out need to be led home, just that simple. Town people that build a house in the country don't want cow tracks in their yard. If disposition isn't #1, it's about tied for it with cows that breed back on time
