West Central Indiana
I've done it before years ago. Disced a few fields in the fall with a sunflower 25' 1433 disc. It was pretty heavy and cut pretty good. I probably ran it deeper than what your picture looks like.

Come spring I drug my 1860 drill across it. What I didn't like was the ground was rougher to drive across. The drill rode rougher.
Positives were it dried out faster. Beans usually came up better despite the rough seed bed.
If I had a good double rolling basket or perhaps a DMI crumbler I think I would have liked it better.

I tried it for 2-3 years then finally just decided to no-till them because it was less work.

Now we play with a Krause Excelerator. It leaves the ground smoother than a tandem disc. Does not bury as much residue though.
