Put your thermometer where buildings do not affect the readings.Calibrate your thermometer,Put the base in a tub of ice water. It should be reading 32 degrees. The best are the old style and you can slide the glass tube up/down so 32 is at 32 mark. When there is any frost it will read 32 degrees. This doesnt make you able to control the weather but it is a fallacy to believe the lows off the boob tube.Neighbors wont believe you but any ice/frost it has to be 32 degrees.
