I guess I can't swear that it can be done from the back so I may have spoke out of turn, we took ours out because we were having trouble with debris buildup/smoldering. If you don't have some sort of overhead lifting capability then you made the right call doing it this way, you should probably make a trip to a casino if everything came apart that easily for you lol
