For the route through ND...
Having snow last night and today, few inches down and temps will be dropping so expect lows in the teens and highs in mid 20s into next week. Nothing crazy though but it will be winter.
Edit to add: 2005 I visited my sister when she lived in Yakima and the route home I took likely was not far from you. This would have been in September of that year. Took I think 12 and through Lewiston and then to Missoula along the river and up.
Highway 12 would have taken you right through Dayton. Our shop now is just west of town about 1/2 mile north of the Highway under the 308 foot tall Green Giant on the hill. We built it in 2009 though moving in closer to civilization.
