Hello, Your motor direction determines wash, or spin/drain... You could simply have a start motor capacitor gone, or motor switch (on the motor itself) not working properly... OR, if the tranny is locked up, you can have spin/drain, but not agitate... Remove front panel, and confirm motor direction switching... A belt is not the problem, proper motor switch direction, then locked up tranny are two most common problems... Not to add insult to injury, but this is exactly why most of us washer techs never thought much of the speed queen design... And, yes...I know not much to choose from among gov mandated and regulated washing machine limits on water use, and electrical efficiency... You should be able to find a used motor for under a hundred on ebay....and you should be ok...tranny too expensive to replace and a bear to do so...
