Why delete? To answer your question yes it will be fine.Disking is all you need if you are not wasting to go full no-till. We use a deere 1860 30’ with 10” rows planting into untouched cornstalks. We have stalk stompers on the cornhead, never an issue combining beans, the drill mashes all the stalks down not much left by fall. In our area hardly anyone works cornstalks but what works here may not in Michigan. Try leaving a strip untouched and see how it does
