southern MN | Herbicides on crops is a real concern by consumers.
Increasing spray use a week before harvest will only increase that concern.
Thinking about it myself, I’ve never been bothered by herbicide use on a growing crop; but spraying so much a week before harvest on a mature crop…… hum.
Something we might have to sort out sooner than later.
It’s interesting that such use of herbicides is more common on crops more likely to be directly consumed by humans. Wheat, rye, black beans, etc.
