Yes, but you don't need $100k to live well in small town USA, even where a cheap house is $200k.
I don't know how to teach people skills, but I know you have more trouble getting a fat horse to work than a thin one. And I know a teacher that had a 300# third grader, that probably never worked a day in his later life.
