A grain cart is one machine that I can get by really well without having a CV shaft.

Yep huge added weight, cost that should not be needed.
My cart has a bent shaft. Bought used. I could NOT slide pto shaft to hook up. Pulled apart w/ winch. Cleaned, lube. It bounces 1500 rpm bad. I suspect it bent turning w/shaft not extending, contracting. But I unload fast 1200 rpm tractor. Not worth $300 new shaft. *then new knuckles either end* +$500 before you realize.
