Central Nebraska | I personally give all my heifers a chance. They get developed on cornstalks very low input. Breed 45 days and I only keep the first cycle breds. Sell the late breds and opens. Sell down the older cows to fit my feed resources and repeat. I don’t have stellar Preg rates on those heifers. However, they really shine on their second preg check. If they make it in they rarely come up open. | |
