Carmi, IL | Baled hay Saturday afternoon. Hay was cut Wednesday afternoon and we have had excellent drying conditions. Moisture meter was showing 8 - 11%. What a surprise when a friend called and said he had a bale that go on fire. First time I have ever seen this. Glad he caught it and did not burn a barn down. I would say it was some of the driest hay I have ever put up.
