Latimer, Iowa (north central) | My experience with farm management companies is they are going to take at least 10% of the money a landowner pays for the service. That 10% is the profit and you will just be wearing out yourself and equipment. Need to get the full 100% to actually get ahead doing custom work. They will also be willing to switch to a different custom operator if someone offers it cheaper.
Just my opinion, but farm management companies work for the landowner not the farmer. I would look for landowners that want the services and skip barking up an ash tree (all the ash trees here are dead from emerald ash bore). |
