Setting at the computer and snowed in so thought i would do some cleaning of the hard drive and see if i can pick up some speed. But I have forgot how to get to the temp internet files and cookies(SP) can someone help thanks
Cleaning up your temporary internet files helps, but another area that you can clean up that takes up a lot of space is the temporary Java files that are stored. If you browse the net, you likely have Java installed, and it's default setting for temporary file storage is 1G.
To delete the temp files and change the setting, go into your Control Panel and look for the Java icon. Click to open it and at the bottom will be a settings button. Click it, and move the slider down to like 50M, which is more than enough for temp file storage for Java. Right below the slider is a Delete Files button. Click it to delete all the temporary Java files.
