SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
Talking about dual spinner spreaders,
1 Spinner RPM , Slower increases spread to the outside, faster to the center
2 Spinner position , Ahead increases spread to the outside, back to the center.
3 Angle of the blades. Steeper increases spread to the outside. straighter to the center. Used to even out a pattern.
4 If it is a pull type lower the hitch to increase spread to the outside and raise it to increase spread to the inside. Usually best if the spreader is level fromt to rear
5 Single spinners have their own set of rules and imo should be avoided at all costs unless you can run a circular pattern. Not back and forth. That almost always results in streaks.
