The Pretender - 5/4/2024 13:36 Are Agco going to do something about their small tractor line up? It was their speciality. Probably not such a big market in the west now in terms of numbers of units and margins
What is a small tractor on that side of the pond? Chris

It's all relative, I suppose 50hp. They don't look to have much of a compact line up, there's getting a few vineyards around here and Fendt seems to have that sown up.

Last time I went to north Wales, where tractors go to die, the hill farmers did seem to favour ~ late model 100hp Massey's.

There was a year in the 60's when 3/4 of all tractors registered in the UK were Massey Ferguson 135's, but the market for that size tractor on farms is now pretty much zero here
