Then curl it to meet (what I assume is the machine's hard plastic fuel return) Shouldn't be much resistance there, a hose clamp should hold it fine.
Somebody somewhere probably has that quick connector.. this would buy you some time to hunt it down.
edit to add- Google 'fuel line quick connector' you'll have to get some measurements off you old one. Napa shows several for around 10-12 bucks. Lot's of other places to look at too.
