NC Kansas | wow, that's pretty bad. We have sold channel for going on 7 years now and never seen anything like that. I would be reporting that to your dealer and keeping track of lot numbers. I could understand the amount of chaff and fines if you were just dumping several boxes in without the tank or tender ever being empty. I could see some of that "building up" so to speak over several hundred units... but I don't know your circumstances. I would almost bet it's tied to specific variety that may be a little more fragile in the seed coat department?? That's why I say pay attention to variety and then report findings and lot numbers to the dealer. Channel has been very good to us in tracking down problems and fixing them and they are under the bayer umbrella with dekalb.
The ear shank thing, that looks like something got out of adjustment at the seed cleaning/sorting plant. | |
