Southeast Colorado | It's going to vary field by field. Some of the better places are hanging in there............and the worst are totally giving up.
The wheat is probably 2 weeks ahead of normal. Normal heading is pretty much May 1st............which seems about like peak water usage. So we're entering that time now. And we still keep dipping below freezing. Hit 26 a couple of days ago. I'm just not really even looking at the wheat.............nothing I can do about it. I knew when it got really advanced that it would probably be a wreck. These temps are completely normal............the wheat isn't.
Oh well, can't make money at everything. | |
