Subject: RE: neck throat cancer

Woodbury county
My wife went through pretty much what you have described nearly 20 years ago. She had 32 radiation treatments and still cannot taste very much.

I want to add to my original post a WARNING - About twelve years after she had radiation treatments, she suffered a stroke. The carotid artery on the left side of her neck was 95% blocked. Her cancer surgeon was contacted about her previous cancer. The cancer surgeon said he was certain the cancer radiation treatments had damaged the carotid artery was the reason for the blockage and the stroke. My wife survived the stroke and has a three and a half inch stent put in the carotid artery.
All of my wife's surgeries and medical care was done at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Doctors have told her they are certain she has beat the cancer she had after this many years.
