Southeast Colorado | We bought "what I thought" was a generic old wooden mouse trap a year or so ago. We've got an empty house, and keep traps baited all the time, because we catch about 1 or 2 a week there. These traps kick the old Victors in the butt! They don't get all bloody after catching a mouse. And I only have to re-bait them with a peanut butter smear monthly.
Now the bad part, I don't remember the brand name. I'll check them out tomorrow and post back.
EDIT: Sadly, I've probably thrown at least 100 mice out of there over the last couple of years.
