north dakota | WE have been using a Cattlelac 460 3 auger mixer wagon for quite a few years now and a BJM 3312 before that . We have a cow herd and background our calves Auger wagon was just fine for the backgrounding ration but have been very frustrated with the cow batches because we are almost 50/50 ground hay and silage. Just couldnt get much in without it boiling over and not mixing well . Been trying to decide what change to make and asked on here a couple times. Decided to demo a Patz 620 . Ended up buying it . After watching it mix one load I knew it was what we were needing. Have been very pleased with mixing and cleanout . The only undesirable thing is the cost. We have no intentions of using it for whole bales on a regular basis as we own ou own haygrinder.I just wanted to share our experience . We try to be as low overhead as possible so this was splurging quite a bit for us but we sure are happy with it. | |
