north-central Indiana west of Fulton | We operate tandems to haul from field to farm..for a few reasons, but the main one is a smallish 60s built dump pit and setup. We had all of them built up after we bought a semi. The first in ‘75, then another in ‘14 then again in ‘21. We can only unload 18’ beds …..all tandems now days are probably 20’….thus we had to get them made up for us. All are spring ride…..harder to find those as most are air. We were told you need to dump the air before you lift the bed on air suspension. Our local truck shop did our last 2 that are identical setups, except one is an 8100 and the other a 9100…both model year 2000s. Love the Allison automatic in the 8100, but couldn’t find an automatic when we bought the 9100….we were in a time crunch sort of.
