Amherst WI | When I was just out of high school I bought a registered duroc boar from a friend of mine as a piglet.
I raised "Herb" up to breeding age. Just before he was ready to turn out with some gilts he must have got into a fight with some other hogs I had him in with and his back legs quit working. I had to put him down because he didn't get any better over several days. It was a real bad deal at the time since I didn't have a pot to piss in. | |
