Subject: RE: Tesla Cybertruck delivery video

Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

They sent a few to Southern New Zealand for winter testing. I've only seen snippets of video from those efforts though. It should be good in snow though.17 inches of ground clearance on the whole underside, with no diff pumpkin hanging below, whether loaded or empty, Locking diffs on the axles and torque vectoring of each wheel, along with weight and low CG would indicate it will be good in deep snow or slippery conditions.
The batteries are still something of a mystery. While Toyota has spent the last six years promising that their new solid state battery is coming soon but they are still using NiMH cells in some of their hybrids, it seems the new Tesla is using a special Cybertruck 4680 lithium cell. According to reports I've seen, the battery is made using no liquid electrolytes!! Some might even call it a solid state battery. But most of the automotive press are still believing the Toyota FUD?
The Tesla order page specs 250ish miles of range. I'll wait to see what happens in the real world. The pickup doesn't fit my needs so I'm not on the wait list for one. I'm just watching and trying to learn something.
